What does a Coaching Day look like?

Toolbox coaches arrive before school commences and meet briefly with the various teaching staff they will be working with during the day.  Then, across each lesson, the Toolbox coach will move throughout the school, working on unique teaching situations with those staff.  

Sometimes, the Toolbox coach will run an exhibition lesson, in conjunction with your staff.  Where staff have a free teaching period, the Toolbox coach can work on deeper teaching strategies and applications in that teaching area. 

Whether it is sentence level work, paragraph work, helping teachers with struggling writers, clever subject level applications of Writer’s Toolbox online—embedding Toolbox in assessment applications—you can adapt your coaching day to your school’s unique needs. 

Can I book a Coaching Day online?

Yes.  If your school is remote or wishes to organise for the coaching day to be run online, we can schedule period-long online sessions across the day with individual teachers, maximising the mentoring support and knowledge transfer.
