How about this for the first Writer’s Toolbox update of the year? Introducing Incompletes: a nifty addition to fast feedback change with a huge impact. Read on to find out more.
Our Educational AI just got smarter
Incompletes will change the editing game for you and your students. This feature highlights exactly which sentences students need to fix—grammar, spelling, punctuation—but it doesn’t do the fixing for them.
Importantly, in the fast feedback, we don’t tell the student what to change to improve their writing strength. The feedback guides them in the right direction, without giving them the answers. The student is in the driving seat, putting their learning into practice, not mindlessly clicking accept on changes. Not only does this build their knowledge, it builds their enjoyment. We’ve seen it time and again, when students are in control of how their work is written, they can self-edit, truly relishing the crafting of their work and its impact on their reader.
